Reliable and accurate processing with METER MIX machines
Methacrylate adhesives (MMA adhesives) are used in various industrial applications due to their excellent properties and versatile application possibilities. They are mainly used for bonding together composites and plastic components. For example, they can be used to join various vehicle components or to bond lightweight composite materials in aircraft.
They are characterised above all by their exceptional tensile strength and ensure durable, stable joints. They are also temperature-resistant, harden quickly and are resistant to moisture and weathering.
We offer metering and mixing machines that meet the exact requirements for processing two-part Methacrylate. The METER MIX machines that are designed specifically for processing this material are process-stable and operate in a precise and reliable manner.
Depending on the application, we offer different solutions:
- PasteShot 20: Metering and dosing machine for dispensing small to medium shot sizes
- PasteFlow 20: Continuous flow machine for accurately dispensing beads directly from 20 litre drums
- PasteFlow 200: Continuous flow machine for accurately dispensing beads directly from 200 litre drums
- LiquidShot 2: Accurate “small shot dosing” of this material
METER MIX is able to configure a system with the possibility to pump the material through long hoses at distances of up to 10m utilizing proven gear pump technology. All machines are typically equipped with hand held trigger operated mixer valves, or robot mounted mixer valves.
The requirements on the machines are for example
- Stainless steel wetted parts
- EPDM or PTFE seals
- Safety circuit on lift/ram assemblies in order to isolate electrics when follower plates are lifted out of the supply containers (i.e. when the material container is open and the fumes can evaporate)
- ATEX rated drive motors, low-level sensors and pressure switches on PasteFlow 20 and PasteFlow 200 machines
- Remote control boxes on machines where either the Adhesive or Activator are highly flammable (and have a low flash point)
